Welcome to the website of the Council of Academic Staff and Doctoral Candidates

The Council of Academic Staff and Doctoral Candidates is enshrined in the University of Bayreuth's constitution. Its members include the elected representatives on the faculty councils, the Senate, the University Council, the members of the Presidential Commissions, the spokesperson for the doctoral student representatives of the University of Bayreuth Graduate School, and the women's representatives belonging to the group of research assistants and doctoral candidates.

Responsibilities

In particular, the council represents the interests of doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, post-doctoral staff, adjunct professors, academic (senior) councilors, and directors at the University of Bayreuth.

Tasks and objectives

The most important tasks include the mutual exchange of information and the coordination of work among the committee representatives at regular council meetings. In addition, we want to discuss current topics affecting young academics at public university information events and encourage the exchange of opinions. All Bavarian councils of academic staff and doctoral candidates are united in the State Association of Academic Staff in Bavaria (LWB).
